This research aims to provide a meta-analysis of the literature findings on the characteristics of social media influencers regarding consumer involvement and purchase intention. For this purpose, researchers found eight characteristics of social media influencers: homogeneity, information, honesty, loyalty, compatibility with the product, entertainment value, information value and attractiveness. The present study combines 176 effect sizes from 62 studies and serves as a total sample of 22,554 individuals. The results show that these attributes have moderate to high correlations with customer involvement and purchase intention.
