It addresses the ability of older adults to remain in their homes and communities as they age, allowing them to stay in their preferred location and access the services they need to improve their quality of life. A cross-sectional study design was employed using data sampled from the Korean National Survey on Aging 2020. A total of 9930 older adults (aged 65 to 99 years) participated. The results confirm that the intention to follow the AIP is related to personal factors (education, income, home ownership, smoking, exercise, depression), interpersonal factors, and community (health care needs not satisfied, need for home care services, family communication) and politics. level factors (basic pensioners, long-term care services) using an ecological model. Due to the growing elderly population and the burden of medical costs, a change in policy has been made so that the elderly can receive the necessary services independently and continue to live in the fields instead of in facilities or hospitals. Therefore, in terms of costs, continuing to live in the same place is considered more cost-effective than care services in hospitals or elderly care facilities [9].

Therefore, the policy for the AIP must meet several conditions to be realized. In other words, various services such as housing, medical care and daily care need to be provided in an appropriate way so that the elderly can live at home safely and these services must satisfy changing needs [10].
